Kimreeaa Gallery will hold a group exhibition, Majoongmool 2025, from July 10 to 26, 2025, marking the 10th anniversary of its annual program for emerging artists.

Majoongmool refers to the small amount of water poured into a pump to bring forth a greater flow. In the same spirit, this exhibition series has provided an early push for young artists, offering a space for their first meaningful encounters with the public, collectors, and the wider art scene. Since its launch in 2014, Majoongmool has steadily introduced fresh, experimental voices, becoming a vital platform for new artistic energy.

This year’s exhibition features ten artists—Kim Soyeong, Kim Suyoung, Seo Doi, Lee Gichan, Lee Hun Ju, Jung Yeon Jae, Jegal Sun, Jo Seoyoung, Choi Hyeongjun, and Hwang Ho Dong—working across painting, installation, and sculptural practices. Each brings a distinct perspective, offering viewers a multifaceted glimpse into the diverse and evolving landscape of contemporary art.

What sets Majoongmool apart is its structure: artists actively participate in shaping the exhibition, moving beyond the traditional role of exhibitor. Through collaboration and dialogue, the exhibition becomes a dynamic space for experimentation and connection—not just between works and viewers, but also between artistic intention and public engagement.

As the exhibition celebrates its 10th edition, it reflects on a decade of discovery while looking forward to new directions. Majoongmool 2025 invites viewers to witness the present and future of contemporary art through the voices of a new generation—curious, bold, and full of potential.
